When it is translated

• When a buyer or seller of property in Bulgaria is a foreigner

• When property is inherited by heirs living abroad
• For tax returns abroad declaring property

Bilingual documents at the notary

If a foreigner who does not speak Bulgarian takes part in the deal, the notary usually requires an interpreter and documents in both languages. We can prepare the translation in advance – call us to plan around the date of the deal.

Length and legalization

Notarial deeds often include a description of the property, sketches and encumbrances, so they run to several pages. Whether an apostille is needed depends on the country and the institution receiving the translation.
